Reiki Guided Meditation for Forgiveness: Cord Cutting, Letting Go, and Restoring Peace within the Heart
Welcome to your Reiki charge guided meditation, intended to help you forgive someone, yourself, or a situation that you still feel attached to or are holding on to. Please find a comfortable seat, or lie down on your back or side. If you feel safe, close your eyes, trusting that this beautiful Reiki energy is now merging with your own energy.
Let the Reiki energy start at the bottoms of your feet and move up through your legs, pelvis, stomach, heart, hands, arms, throat, the back of your neck, head, and brain, filling you up with love, light, and healing. Breathe into this healing energy, inhale, exhale.
Allow yourself to focus on the person, situation, or your own heart that needs forgiveness. Don't be afraid to revisit the experience that brought pain, anger, or hurt. Let it come into vision, and the associated feelings back into your body, even if they may be uncomfortable. Trust that these feelings are temporary.
Now, imagine the person, situation, or feeling outside of your body, right in front of you. Observe what connects you to them - an energy cord. What does this energy cord look like? Where is it coming from in your body? It could be a rope from your belly, a chain from your chest, or a laser beam from your pelvis connecting you to this thing.
Now, open up communication between you and this person, situation, or piece of yourself. Answer these three questions honestly and openly, either in your mind or audibly, if you feel safe to do so:
1. This situation or you made me feel hurt because...
2. Right now, it's important for you to understand...
3. I am ready to forgive you because I know that when I do...
Keep the image of the person or thing in front of you, attached by an energy cord. Express your answers to the above statements, speaking directly to this person or thing or piece of yourself.
Now, imagine a tool to help you sever this cord. It could be scissors, an ax, or whatever feels right to you. Cut the cord from this person, situation, or piece of yourself, declaring your readiness to forgive. State: "I forgive you. I am free because I have forgiven you. I choose my own joy because I have forgiven you."
As you cut the cord, let the vision or the embodiment of the feeling drift away, completely gone from your energy, vision, and reality. Bring your awareness back into your body, your heart, your belly, or wherever you felt the tightness from the pain. Take a final deep breath to cleanse and restore your peace, freedom, and joy.
Now, bring your awareness back to the beautiful Reiki energy, bright, white, and sparkly, healing and full of love. Imagine it filling you up from the crown through your head, brain, throat, shoulders, arms, hands, chest, belly, back, pelvis, legs, and feet, restoring you to your own alignment. Take another deep breath to seal this practice.
Slowly start moving your body, maybe blinking your eyes open and stretching. Trust that you have been completely released from anything that kept you attached to the past, and now you are free to move with joy and peace into the future. Thank you for joining me today.
