Meditation for Ancestral Healing | Connect w/ Your Ancestors & Heal Yourself

Please find a comfortable seat or lie down on your back or side as you prepare for this guided meditation, intended to help you heal your ancestral line and yourself in the process.

Take a moment to wiggle your body around until you find a comfortable position and then take a few deep breaths to settle into the space. Thank you for joining.

Now, let your breath find a peaceful rhythm, whatever feels natural, and just allow it to flow. Begin to bring your awareness into your body, this beautiful physical vessel that is so uniquely designed, and which had such a small chance of being born into this Earth, created by hundreds and thousands of people.

In the highest light, welcome forward your spiritual team and your ancestry. Understand that this is a place of healing, safety, and love. If you don't see anything in your mind's eye, please trust that your spiritual team and ancestors are with you. Pay attention to your physical or emotional body, feeling the knowledge that they are here.

Now, bring your awareness to your third eye space and begin a visualization. Please imagine a path in front of you, which can be made of anything long or short. At the end of this path, you see a beautiful, inviting light. Slowly but surely, make your way to this light and sit down in front of it.

As you look down and around, notice that you're almost at what looks like a picnic, with lots of different things all around you. Take a moment to observe these items. Now, invite your ancestors forward to join you in this picnic and ask them to pick up the items that were on the picnic blanket or surface, making them their own.

If any other items appear, invite more ancestors forward to take their respective items. Once everyone has taken their item, express your gratitude to them for the life they've given you and acknowledge that it is now your time to live your life the way you choose. Ask them to take back the weight or trauma of their stories and release it for themselves.

When you're ready, see the beautiful light again in front of you, knowing that as you pass through it, you are completely releasing any weight that is not yours. Take a deep breath and step into that light.

Some of your ancestors may feel called to join you. If you'd like them to join you, invite them forward and ask them to release their items completely, letting them disappear into thin air. Those who are ready to release their items may step forward into the light with you and share in this beautiful space of love.

For those ancestors who were not ready to release their items, ask them to exit the picnic space and go back to their own safe space in the spiritual realm. They can still share love, protection, support, and guidance with you, but they will be holding their own weight. Now, you are in complete connection with yourself and those ancestors who have released what does not serve them or you.

In this beautiful white light, allow yourself to be and enjoy the presence of your ancestors. Some may have a message for you, and you may feel free to interact with them in any way that feels right, whether it's receiving a hug or sitting on their lap. This is a space of connection, celebration, and love.

Feel free to stay in this space for as long as you'd like. If you wish to continue a little longer, softly open your eyes and pause this meditation. When you're ready to return, press play again.

If you are ready now, invite your ancestors to come forward with you, those you would like to accompany you out of the light and onto the path. Notice that the picnic area is completely cleared, and the path is unobstructed. Walk back down the path toward your physical body, leaving your ancestors with your spiritual team in the safe space or inviting them to come closer and surround your physical body.

As you re-enter your physical body, say thank you and express your love to your ancestors. Receive any final messages they have for you in this moment, knowing they are always there for your highest good, respecting you as you are now.

Bring your awareness back to the physical and to your breath, taking a few deep breaths to fully come back. Slowly move your body, stretch, or blink your eyes open, whatever feels good to you.

When you feel ready, completely on your own time, please open your eyes all the way, place your hands on your body, and say, "Thank you, I love you, and this is my time, just for me."

If you'd like, you can grab a journal and write down anything you experienced during this meditation, any messages from your ancestors, or any releases that you would like to remember.
